The perfect bouquet for her

Mara loved it from the very first moment: it was indeed a huge, tropical, and colorful bouquet — perfect for her and for the style of the wedding.

Tones that tie everything together

It was a tropical wedding in reddish tones. However, blue also had its place. Choosing the blue car was their way of using blue as a secondary color and linking it to the sea — a symbolic element Mara wanted to include in every detail.

Besides toasting, wearing traditional hats and Caribbean-style outfits, they starred in vibrant, lighthearted photos in the gardens before the ceremony.

The charm of the little ones

There’s always a moment when the kids steal the spotlight. The little girls in Mara and Brett’s party led the way to the ceremony with sweetness, laughter, and that delightful chaos only children can create.

Cuban ritual with a personal touch

During the cocktail hour, while everyone enjoyed Cuban rum, a cigar roller gave a live demonstration of the traditional art of cutting, rolling, and lighting cigars. The matchboxes, customized with vintage Cuban postcards, added a visual detail that connected beautifully with the wedding’s symbolism.

A tour of the Hotel Nacional

After the ceremony, Mara and Brett posed in different corners of the Hotel Nacional. Each space evoked something: history, architecture, shared memories. It wasn’t just a photo session — it was a way to walk through a place that had been part of her childhood… and now, part of their story together.

Tropical, warm, and very elegant

Under a ceiling with hanging lamps and foliage, the round tables were adorned with low tropical arrangements. Each centerpiece was highlighted with directional lighting from above, creating a warm and sophisticated atmosphere throughout the room.

The moment to see how it all turned out

They wanted a tropical wedding, but they hadn’t imagined the impact the decorated ceiling would have. They walked in and loved it — the atmosphere exceeded everything they had hoped for.

Design of a standout table

In the same way, we styled the head table with a hanging lamp installation and a floral arrangement that dropped almost to table level. Behind it, a wooden backdrop featuring their names framed the scene from the front. At floor level, a large floral front completely covered in tropical flowers finished off this layered, lush, and visually striking design.

A blue cake to speak of the sea

While the rest of the décor was tropical, the cake spoke a different language. Blue and beach-themed, it was a personal nod to the Cuban beaches that marked Mara’s childhood. That same gesture was echoed in the wedding party’s outfits and the groom’s look, making the cake-cutting moment feel both coherent and meaningful.

A first dance with the elegance of Cuban son

For the first dance, dancing with the Septeto Santiaguero was more than a symbolic moment — it was a true luxury. having a Grammy-winning orchestra set the rhythm didn’t just elevate the experience; it made everyone feel they were living something unrepeatable. live music, Cuban tradition, and a shared emotion from the very first chord.

Otras formas de casarse en el Hotel Nacional

The 1930 Room at the Hotel Nacional may seem challenging at first glance: its ceiling is high, dark, and lacks fixed decorative elements. But that’s exactly where its greatest strength lies. It’s a tent-like space that allows for hanging, lighting, and complete redesign, adapting to very different styles.

From lush tropical setups to classic or contemporary weddings, we’ve reinvented it in many different ways — each one designed to reflect the couple’s story and style.
