Sayory and Rolando: the dream of getting married at Paradisus Varadero

Rolando knew Cuba even before he met Sayori. For him, it was already a special destination. Together, they made it part of their story. Getting married at Paradisus Varadero meant turning their wedding into a way to visit Cuba with their favorite people.

He had said it clearly on his social media: “I’ll take you to all the beautiful places I’ve known, my love.” And Varadero was part of that promise.

Two Mexicans who chose to say “I do” in a place that already held special meaning for him… and that they would now share together.

Flowers, family, and sea: this is how their wedding in Varadero was.

With white sand, natural palm trees, and the sea as the backdrop, the scene was already set. The decoration was completed with a wooden arch covered in pastel-toned garden-style flowers arranged generously. The wooden chairs, with no covers or unnecessary details, blended naturally into the setting.

The entrance broke tradition: each arrived accompanied by both parents. It was their way of honoring them, giving them the place they hold in their lives and in this story. A ceremony that spoke of roots, of family, and of shared love.

An entrance hand in hand with those who were always there

She looked nervous, but walked firmly, arm in arm with her mother and father. They weren’t just walking beside her—they were holding her, as they had so many times in life.

A kiss that sealed the dream of getting married at Paradisus Varadero

In front of the sea and their loved ones, they kissed just as they had imagined. Surrounded by their people and in the place where they chose to say “I do”—a place already woven into their story.

One final photo — everyone gathered at the altar of this wedding in Varadero.

Then, family and friends joined them at the altar. They were the ones who had traveled all the way to Varadero just to be there. Because at a destination wedding, there are no casual guests — those who come do so because they couldn’t imagine missing that moment. This image says it all.

Afterwards, the couple stayed a little longer on the beach. They took advantage of the sunset light for a photo session with their wedding party: they walked on the sand, laughed, and ran. All bathed in that golden warmth that only appears at the end of the day, when the sun sets over the sea and transforms everything.

Later, they drove off in a classic car to complete their photo session. It was a short escape, but a symbolic one. In Cuba —and especially in Varadero— these cars are more than just a way to get around: they’ve become part of the wedding imagery for those who get married here. Icons of the island, almost always present in the photos of those who choose to make this place part of their story.

Toast among the palm trees

The cocktail took place in a garden surrounded by palm trees, just as natural light gave way to the evening glow. The couple arrived after their photo session and joined their guests, still immersed in the emotion of the ceremony. It was a moment to hug, toast, and put into words everything they had just experienced.

Advantages of getting married at Paradisus Varadero: a venue that captivates.

One of the great advantages of getting married at Paradisus Varadero is having a venue like this: spacious, with a wooden ceiling, surrounded by greenery, and with an open structure that keeps you connected to the surroundings.

The decoration was beautiful. We created a warm atmosphere in line with the style of the day: pastel-colored flowers, dark wood furniture, long tables with floral details, candles, fiber lamps, and at the back, the couple’s table. Each guest found their seat with the help of a menu featuring a QR code that also invited them to upload photos of the event.

Un photocall que se volvió el alma de la fiesta

When the party was already in full swing, the photo booth appeared — along with the custom sunglasses the couple gave to their guests. Everyone wanted a picture. Everyone joined in. The result? A trending reel and one of the most shared memories of the wedding.
