Destinos Gaviota 2019 Tourism Trade Fair

In 2019, the first edition of the Gaviota Destinations Tourism Trade Fair aimed to showcase the attractions of Cuba, with a focus on Havana and Varadero. Our team was tasked with creating the Welcome Party for this event.

The restaurant La Divina Pastora, located in Morro-Cabaña Park, was selected as the venue for guests to experience firsthand the island's culinary and cultural delights. The first day featured a city tour in celebration of Havana's 500th Anniversary, followed by an evening celebration overlooking the beautiful bay of Havana.

The chosen theme for the event was nautical, which set the tone for the entire evening. The garden, where most guests congregated, was decorated with materials like wood, fibers, and nautical motifs, creating a distinctive maritime ambiance.

The garden was furnished with lounge seating, custom-designed bars, thematic decorations, and vibrant floral arrangements. Meanwhile, the terrace showcased culinary displays for guests to enjoy.

As part of the nautical concept, a photo booth was created to resemble a ship sailing on the waves, offering a picturesque backdrop of the bay of Havana. Every detail of the event was meticulously planned to surprise and delight tour operators, travel agents, and other attendees. The evening paid tribute to Havana's cuisine, its allure as a seaside city, and its timeless beauty, once again highlighting the island's appeal as a tourist destination.
