WEDDINGS IN HAVANA

REASONS TO GET MARRIED IN HAVANA

bride-and-groom-on-the-malecon-in-havana

Havana hosts two very different styles of celebration: weddings in Havana of those who live here and share with their people, and those of couples who choose it as a destination to get married in Havana without seeking the typical tourist wedding. In both cases, the city brings a unique energy: it blends tradition, urban life, and settings that allow creating celebrations with their own character.

Getting married in Havana means taking advantage of a city that brings together, within a few kilometers, very different settings and experiences that make a difference. You can say “I do” in a historic building or in a charming venue, and then surprise with live music, a ride in classic cars, or a party by the sea.

Here, even with a moderate budget, it is possible to celebrate in iconic places and add elements such as personalized setups or guest experiences that, in other destinations, would be much more expensive.

For many foreign couples, getting married here is not just organizing a wedding outside their country: it is to live a city with soul and turn the celebration into an authentic experience.

PLACES TO GET MARRIED IN HAVANA

In Havana we have organized everything from intimate weddings in colonial courtyards to seaside receptions and grand celebrations in centuries-old buildings.

With more than 10 years of work in the city, at Aire de Fiesta we don’t just know the venues: we know how to adapt them so that they work in every detail on the wedding day. We share with each couple clear information about the advantages, limitations, and conditions of each place, so they can safely choose the one that best fits their style, logistics, and budget.

That’s why, we share with you the venues in Havana where we work the most and that couples request the most. This is not a generic list: these are venues we know in depth, where we have organized many weddings and know exactly what they offer, what they require, and how to make the most of them.

And although we highlight the most common ones here, we can organize your wedding in any place in the city you choose.

La Divina Pastora

It is one of the most exclusive and desired places for weddings in Havana, both for locals and for destination weddings, thanks to its spectacular views.

In its garden you can hold the ceremony, cocktail, dinner, and party, all outdoors, following the trend of fully open-air weddings.

Its capacity reaches 250–300 guests, with the advantage of having no time limit and offering gastronomy specialized for events. Its main limitation is the plan B: the covered terrace, which in dinner format can comfortably accommodate up to 100 people.

La Casona

It is our own venue for weddings in Havana.

Although it is a private house, we offer catering and bar services through agreements with different restaurants, which allows for a greater variety of styles and prices.

Its spacious gardens are ideal for ceremonies, cocktails, and outdoor dinners, and since it is our own venue, we reduce setup costs by avoiding transportation. It also offers conditions to carry out the preparations in the same place, which adds comfort to the day.

Its main disadvantage is the lack of a covered plan B for large events.

La Guarida

More than just a place to celebrate, La Guarida is an experience.

Set in a building from the early 20th century, it has become a reference of the new Cuban cuisine and the most famous restaurant in the country. It is one of the preferred options for destination weddings because of its gastronomy and the uniqueness of its spaces.

Its optimal capacity for weddings is 80 guests, but if there is no problem with seating the guests in different rooms during dinner, it can host celebrations of up to 150 guests or more.

Its main limitation is the schedule: on weekdays it is not allowed to extend the celebration until dawn because it is in a residential area, and only on weekends is greater flexibility granted, although without exceeding 2 a.m.

The National Hotel of Cuba

It is a symbol of the country and a historical heritage, It is also one of the most emblematic settings for weddings.

Its seafront gardens offer a unique setting for ceremonies, while the 1930 Hall and other air-conditioned spaces allow adapting to different decoration styles and hosting from 50 to 200 guests. The combination of spacious halls and outdoor areas makes it versatile for different event formats.

We especially recommend the Creole menu, which highlights its local character.

Its main limitation is the schedule, which goes until midnight, so it is not the best option if you are looking for a wedding that lasts until dawn.

Casa Italia

It is a boutique hotel and one of the most recent additions for weddings in Havana.

Its great advantage is the convenience of being able to have the preparations, the ceremony, the party, and spend the wedding night all in the same place.

Its ideal capacity is 80 guests, making use of the central pergola for ceremony and celebration, which also guarantees a plan B in case of rain; otherwise, it does not have a covered alternative. It is a beautiful place that, in its simplest versions, does not require large setups, although, like everything, it can be personalized and made as elaborate as you wish.

Its gastronomy is mainly oriented towards Italian cuisine, although it is possible to access other menus according to the couple’s preferences.
