HOW MUCH DOES THIS WEDDING COST?
If you're planning your wedding, you've probably already looked for inspiration on Pinterest, Instagram, or our social media. You might have even seen a photo and thought: i want a wedding like that. It's right at that moment when the question we get asked the most comes up: how much does a wedding like this cost?
At Aire de Fiesta, we know it's one of the most common questions—and also one of the hardest to answer. Because, in reality, there's almost never a simple or immediate answer.
Each image is just one part of a much bigger story.
Behind what you see in a photo, there are far more decisions than you might think. From choosing the venue to selecting each vendor, including setup timing, overall design, and all the logistics that made everything work that day.
None of that is fully captured in a single image.
If you want to understand why we can’t give you a price for this wedding without knowing the venue and setup conditions, this example makes it perfectly clear.
We’re using this example because this is one of the weddings we get asked to quote most often—and it’s understandable. The image shows a spectacular wedding, but what’s not visible (and definitely increases the cost) is the location and what it took to make it happen.
This setup—already luxurious on its own—was built on a high point, inside a fortress with very limited access. Making it happen took an entire week of work, including several days of rentals, staggered installations, and a team capable of operating under complex conditions. Everything was first transported in large trucks and then redistributed in smaller vehicles, since heavy ones couldn’t reach the site.
The ground had to be leveled, artificial grass installed, and a wooden platform built as the base for the mirror aisle seen in the image.
And still, there's so much more that this first photo doesn’t show.
On the opposite side of the ceremony, a double wall was built specifically so that guests wouldn’t see the bride until the exact moment when custom-made doors opened. Without that single element, the complexity of the setup would be drastically reduced.
And just like that, there are many other details that don’t appear in the image… but make all the difference.
Can equally impressive versions be achieved in more accessible spaces? Absolutely. Is it still a luxury wedding? Without a doubt. But it’s not the same.
If the terrain is flat and easily accessible, with no restrictions or need to build additional infrastructure, the budget changes entirely.
And that —even if it’s not visible— makes all the difference.
The location and context change everything when calculating how much a wedding costs.
After seeing everything that went into that setup, you may already sense why the venue can completely transform a wedding budget.
To reinforce this idea, we’re sharing two photos of similar setups—in both aesthetics and style—but carried out in very different contexts:
one in the garden of our venue, with direct access and zero transportation costs; and another in a hotel beach in Varadero, where everything must be transported, unloaded on sand, and set up under much more demanding conditions.
At first glance, they may seem comparable.
But what’s behind it—logistics, timing, team, access—is completely different.
In this last case, it was also necessary to accommodate the entire team outside their home province, which adds lodging, meals, and transportation.
Besides the characteristics of the venue, there's much more that often gets overlooked when quoting a wedding.
In the image you send us as a reference—whether it’s ours or from Pinterest—it probably only shows part of the setup.
But that wedding included other areas you're not accounting for—and we do have to consider them: reception, bar, food stations, walkways, shaded zones, technical lighting…
All of that is part of the actual project that was designed for that celebration.
And the truth is the price of a wedding isn’t calculated based on isolated elements, but as a whole..
Although there are extras that can be quoted separately, the base price can’t be defined based on what appears in a single image.
