Getting married at La Divina Pastora: Sheyla and Jaykel’s wedding
Sheyla and Jaykel: a spectacular royal blue wedding
Sheyla and Jaikel didn’t just want to get married at La Divina Pastora: they wanted a spectacular wedding. And they got it. Royal blue set the tone for the entire celebration, from the graphic design to the decor. With a striking ceremony, a presidential table that became the focal point, and a staging that completely transformed the venue, this wedding exceeded every expectation.
Getting married at La Divina Pastora: how to transform an iconic venue
Getting married at La Divina Pastora is a dream for many couples. The ocean view, natural surroundings, and open-air architecture make it one of the most sought-after wedding venues in Havana. But beyond what the place offers on its own, some celebrations transform it completely. Sheyla and Jaikel’s wedding was one of them.
From the beginning, the design was conceived with a royal blue aesthetic, serving as the foundation for a modern, elegant, and cohesive proposal. The large-scale setup wasn’t just about decoration—it aimed to create a visual and emotional experience from the very first moment.
A ceremony with a sea view and scenic design
Getting married at La Divina Pastora offers one of the most open sea views in all of Havana. But in this wedding, that setting became part of a scenography that went beyond the usual. The ceremony was designed on an elevated platform with a mirror-like effect, adding not only elegance but also a sense of visual lightness that enhanced every step of the entrance.
Along the path, continuous flower beds with fresh blooms created a clean, natural visual line. The setup was completed with two arches covered in white flowers: the first marked the entrance, and the second —larger— served as the altar. Everything was designed to frame without distracting, to accompany the moment without taking away its intimacy.
A moment just for them
After the ceremony and photos, Sheyla and Jaikel took a few minutes to read their vows in private. No audience, no speeches—just the cameras as witnesses. It was a quiet pause in the rhythm of the event, a calm moment before returning to dinner and the rest of the celebration.
A cohesive visual identity, rich in detail
One of the greatest successes of this wedding was how graphic and decorative elements were integrated. Everything revolved around the couple’s monogram, designed in white and royal blue. This visual signature appeared on the printed dance floor, the bar, the seating plan, the menu, and other strategic points throughout the setup.
The color palette was applied with precision: while the guest tables were dressed in shades of blue, the head table added golden accents that emphasized its central role. Every choice of color, material, and layout helped build a coherent visual narrative, felt both in the overall ambiance and in the details.
The head table as the centerpiece of the design
In events of this scale, there's always a focal point. And here, it was undoubtedly the head table. Long, seating fifty guests, it was designed in a serpentine shape and placed under a tunnel of continuous arches that held all the direct lighting for the table.
The combination of structure, flowers, and lighting created an immersive setting. On both sides, cascading floral arrangements flowed from the table like a natural extension of the décor. It was impossible not to look toward that center—everything in the room revolved around it, both physically and visually.
This type of setup not only reflects a specific aesthetic but also a way of understanding the event. The head table was not an isolated element—it was the heart around which the entire layout and atmosphere were designed.
An arch, a walkway, and a backdrop that everyone chose
Although the phone booth was an original touch, the most photographed spot at the wedding was the ceremony setup. After the “I do”, the arch was lit with a hanging lamp, the cake was placed at the center, and the walkway remained intact. That same structure—with its flowers, proportions, and location—became everyone's favorite group photo backdrop.
A closing full of memorable gestures
Beyond the design, there were many gestures that made this wedding a warm and unique experience. One of them was the phone booth turned videobooth: guests stepped in to leave spontaneous, fun, or heartfelt messages. A real keepsake, full of meaning.
Another unique choice was the way the bouquet was given. Instead of the traditional toss, Sheyla chose the ribbon game: each guest held a ribbon tied to the bouquet, circling around it until only one remained. A symbolic and participatory gesture that completely changed the energy of that moment.
Getting married at La Divina Pastora was the dream that brought Sheyla and Jaikel to us. But what happened exceeded every expectation. With the guests already gone, Sheyla didn’t want the night to end. Sitting on the ceremony platform, visibly moved, she began to notice details she hadn’t seen during the celebration. And she asked us not to take anything down. Because in her words, what she lived was more beautiful than she had ever imagined.

The day started like this
In a house surrounded by the Havana forest, Sheyla enjoyed getting ready calmly, surrounded by laughter, conversation, and the energy of those who were with her.

Three meaningful gestures and a toast before heading out
Jaikel took a moment with each of them: his grandmother, his mother, and his daughter. Each kiss held a different emotion. Then, a relaxed toast with his friends before heading to the ceremony.

A ceremony that dazzled
The double arch covered in white flowers, the mirrored aisle, and the continuous planters turned the garden at La Divina Pastora into a breathtaking setting.

Step by step, on the way to the ceremony
Before reaching the platform, Sheyla walked arm in arm with her father, smiling. The moment was about to begin, and she was already enjoying it.

The first kiss
After all the nerves, the kiss marked the start of a new part of the day—the moment to relax and simply enjoy what was yet to come.

A head table impossible to ignore
The head table was the visual focal point of the entire wedding, with cascading arrangements on both sides and set beneath a tunnel of illuminated arches.

A different way to create memories
We love creating spaces that personalize each wedding. This time, we debuted a phone booth that became one of the most photographed spots. A vintage phone recorded videos and voice messages as a keepsake for the couple.

They returned to the altar, this time, just the two of them
After the ceremony and the photos, Sheyla and Jaikel returned to the altar to read their vows to each other in private. With no audience, just the cameras as witnesses, they gifted themselves a few quiet minutes before rejoining the celebration.

This is how dinner began
At the emcee’s invitation, Sheyla and Jaikel walked in hand in hand, celebrating as if the party was already at its peak. Even before dinner, the mood was clear: to enjoy this day to the fullest.

First dance, another spectacular moment
The dance floor, printed with their monogram, filled with low-lying smoke. It was the first shift in the day's rhythm, marking the true start of the celebration.

A unique twist on the bridal bouquet
Surrounding the dance floor with ribbons in hand, the guests danced around Sheyla. A joyful and interactive way to hand over the bouquet, without tossing it.

The ceremony arch: the favorite spot for photos
First, it served as an altar. Then, as a backdrop for the cake. And by nightfall, it became the place everyone returned to for group photos—now under a new light.
