Renato Prono and Alba Riquelme dreamed of a wedding that not only reflected their love and adventurous spirit but also allowed them to share unique moments with their closest loved ones. They chose Varadero for its beautiful beach, a place where their dream not only came true but exceeded all their expectations.
Getting Ready: Moments full of complicity.
At the Meliá Internacional Hotel, Renato and Alba got ready for their big day surrounded by their loved ones. Alba spent the morning with her friends and sisters-in-law in her suite, enjoying a special moment of complicity during a first look on the balcony with the sea as a backdrop.
From his room, Renato watched as everything took shape, excited to see how every detail of his wedding was coming to life. “We knew it was going to be a special day.”
Design: A carefully planned tropical wedding
The decoration of this wedding was a complex project, designed so that each space would progressively surprise the guests. Alba had suggested a dress code inspired by vibrant colors, and tropical flowers like alpinias, anthuriums, and orchids reflected that same vibrant spirit in every detail of the decor.
The ceremony was the first major visual impact. A 4-meter bamboo tunnel, decorated with large-scale arrangements covering both sides, marked the couple’s path and descended into the altar.
The reception continued with a unique swing-shaped table, suspended under a ceiling covered in foliage and tropical flowers. This design, in addition to being functional by supporting the table’s lighting, stood out for its uniqueness, integrating flowers and foliage that added a vibrant touch to the space
At the center of the area connecting the dinner and the party stood a large round bar, strategically designed to serve both spaces. Its five-meter diameter structure, inspired by a tree, was decorated with hanging wicker lamps that added warmth and personality, becoming a key focal point of the design and a gathering place for the guests.
The Chill Out area, located at the edges and covered by pergolas, provided a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere for rest and conversation. The dance floor, positioned at the center, visually and functionally connected all areas of the celebration.
The Meliá Internacional Hotel: a privileged location
Located in one of the best beach areas of Varadero, the Meliá Internacional Hotel provided an exceptional setting with its extensive stretch of sand, allowing for a unique and unrestricted wedding design.
The hotel also shone with a designer gastronomy proposal, surprising guests with carefully crafted flavors and presentations, ensuring that every aspect of the celebration met Renato and Alba’s expectations.
An ambitious project that was worth every effort
This wedding was much more than a celebration: it was an ambitious project that our team undertook with all their experience and dedication. We had just participated in a fair outside of Havana, and an event of this magnitude required complex logistics and flawless planning.
The design included many tall elements, from the swing table to the suspended floral arrangements, which required meticulous work to ensure every detail was perfect.
When Alba told us at the end of the ceremony, “This wedding is more beautiful than my Pinterest board,” we knew that every effort had been worth it.

This wedding was much more than a celebration: it was an ambitious project that our team undertook with all their experience and dedication. We had just participated in a fair outside of Havana, and an event of this magnitude required complex logistics and flawless planning.
On the wedding day, the wind made the setup challenging, testing every detail of our design, which included many tall elements, from the swing table to the suspended floral arrangements. This required meticulous work to secure each detail amid strong gusts and ensure that no part of the project had to be compromised.
When Alba told us at the end of the ceremony, “This wedding is more beautiful than my Pinterest board,” we knew that every effort had been worth it.

Among the most meaningful details, Alba carried a crucifix, a gift from her friends, which accompanied her during the ceremony. This gesture added a personal and emotional touch to the day, highlighting the importance of the loved ones who were by her side every step of the way.

The couple’s path was formed by bamboo structures in the shape of triangles, repeated along the walkway. As they advanced, the triangles decreased in size, creating a spatial closure that perfectly framed the altar where the ceremony took place.
Everyone toasted to the happiness of the couple and their plans to soon expand their family.
